Glenn Wellesley is a British ski instructor who has been ski-teaching for over 20 years. His career has taken him all over the world, including the U.S.A and New Zealand. He made the French slopes his winter home in 2003.
Glenn has his full BASI (British Association of Snowsport Instructors) international ski teacher licence with full French equivalence, but many of the skills that set him apart from other ski instructors came as a result of a ski racing injury. Glenn lost the physical strength to ski at race-level using orthodox methods, so he researched the latest techniques in bio-mechanics and sports science to find the easiest, most energy-efficient ways to ski.
The realization and understanding of how psychology and clarity are key factors in sport spurred him on to seek out and emulate World-renowned mentors and leaders in performance coaching.
Glenn is well equipped to help you “get the most without using the most” and to… Ski with Ease™. These performance soft skill coaching methods are tried and tested by elite athletes and will help ease you into the right mindset to get you skiing as quickly as possible.
Roberto qualified as a full international ski instructor and worked in Frances most prestigious resorts now including Morzine, Les Gets and Avoriaz.

British born Joey is a dual-qualified ski and snowboard instructor with mountains of experience!
When he is not teaching our guests to ski and board with ease, he’s a trainer/examiner of future ski instructors for the Austrian Snowsports Academy!
For much of the last decade he has been teaching skiing and boarding in the Austrian alps with a few seasons down under in the Australian snowy mountains too. He is fanatical about snowsports and keen to pass on his enjoyment and knowledge. He is great with kids as he has 2 of his own, and has had them skiing as soon as they could walk. We are super pleased to have coaxed Joey back to France and the Portes du Soleil full time this winter.

Alena learned to ski at the age of 2 years old and was competing in races from the age of 4!

Most of her career has been in the Salzburg region of Austria and now a great addition to The Ski With Ease team. An instructor with lots of patience as well as skill for all ages and levels.

His client and hospitality skills are first class, having run his own successful chalet company in Meribel for many years. Each day he would teach many of his clients to ski. Lisa proves ski girls rock!
She is a female ski industry ambassador and trainer for the Snowsports Academy ski association in Vienna, and when she is not training ski instructors to reach higher levels, she is here passing on her easy-learning ski skills and empowering our Ski With Ease guests with her fun and relaxed ski lessons.
Meet Elena: Her passion for skiing and the mountain environment was passed down to her by her father – also a ski instructor. As you might expect, she took to skis not long after she could walk.
She went on to compete in ski racing as a junior at national and international levels. Equipped with a rich skill-set, she would eventually encourage and inspire the next generation as a race club coach and – like her father – as a ski instructor; all quite predictable in someone born into skiing! When she’s not teaching people to ski, she works as a research fellow at the University of Turin, in the field of climate change and its impact on snow and glaciers; she has a master’s degree in environmental economics and policies.
Elena can jump a long way even without her skis on – she’s big in long jump at the athletics track! Now she is a valued member of our team she’s ready to jump-start your skiing!
Luka certainly knows how to get you moving with Ease, his other profession is physiotherapy!
Having spent much of his youth competing as a Junior Alpine racer, he found his path of natural progression: to follow in his father’s ski tracks and become a professional ski instructor.
With eight years of ski-teaching experience covering all ages and abilities and always keeping the learning fun, he now joins his dad Robert on the Ski With Ease team to help you master the skills you’ll need to enjoy your skiing.
Meet Louisa, a brilliant, patient ski instructor with a background in youth skills development.
She has that special kind of intuition that enables her to judge accurately the pace at which you need to learn and progress. With her 20 years’ experience in ski-teaching, you can be sure that no matter what age you are, or what level of ability you have, your learning and skiing enjoyment are in safe hands. In her time as a ski teacher Louisa has specialised in teaching women; the more nervous and, sometimes, older clients who may be carrying an injury or recovering from one.
As with all our superb instructors, Louisa’s mission is to get you skiing with ease, while making sure you get maximum enjoyment from doing just that.
Introducing Richard – or Rich – he doesn’t mind either. He’s a highly experienced, extremely patient and empathetic British instructor. He taught his wife to ski, so he knows how to remain calm and professional in all situations!
Richard makes learning fun, and even at his age can be found enjoying the snow parks with the kids. When he’s not teaching our guests Alpine skiing he indulges his other passion – Nordic/Cross Country skiing.
He has a wealth of local knowledge and knows the Portes du Soleil like the back of his hand. Whether you are looking for the best spot for lunch, after-lesson hot toddies, or quiet, enjoyable pistes to bring your skiing along, Richard’s your man!
Here’s Roger, a British ski instructor with 20 years’ extensive experience of ski teaching across France’s top ski resorts. He will coach you technically, tactically and psychologically to achieve your skiing goals.
Unlike some of our other instructors, who learned to ski when they were little more than toddlers, Roger discovered skiing as a teenager. He can still remember what it was like to go from feeling wobbly on first turns, to developing towards mastery – so, when it was his daughter’s turn to learn to ski, he started her early – at just 2 years old.
When he’s not in the mountains, Roger travels the world as a management consultant; he can draw on a broad range of life experiences to complement his teaching.
Ski instructor and ex racer Matt knows how to get you moving with efficiency and ease on your skis. He has a degree in kinesiology, the science that addresses the physiological and psychological dynamic principles and mechanisms of human body movement.
When he’s not on his skis, he works with professional ski, basketball and tennis teams as a personal trainer and strength-and-conditioning coach. He is an attentive instructor who loves to improve skills, build self-esteem, and empower you to reach your skiing goals.
Highly talented Jasmin joins our team for 2020!

She is a true professional who designs, monitors and evaluates training programmes to help release the full potential of athletes, coaches – and now, Ski With Ease guests.
