Ski Instructor / Ski School Director

Glenn Wellesley, a British ski instructor with over 20 years of experience, has taught worldwide, including the USA and New Zealand, and now calls the French slopes his winter home. He holds a full BASI international licence with French equivalence. After a ski racing injury, Glenn explored biomechanics and sports science to develop energy-efficient skiing techniques.

His understanding of psychology and performance coaching, inspired by world-renowned mentors, equips him to help you "get the most without using the most." His coaching methods, used by elite athletes, will ease you into the right mindset for skiing efficiently and quickly.

Full-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Enrico has been a valued member of our full-time team for many seasons. He is perfect for all ages.

He effortlessly adapts his teaching style to suit a wide range of learners, from young beginners enjoying the jumps in the parks to nervous adults and even full tours of the Portes du Soleil. He has such a gentle and fun way of teaching, and great fun. Loved by all!

Roberto

Full-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Roberto qualified as a full international ski instructor and worked in France's most prestigious resorts, now including Morzine, Les Gets and Avoriaz.

Our multi-lingual Maestro teaches in English, French and Italian and loves teaching all ages from little minis to adult off-piste ski touring. Out of the ski season, Roberto is a world-travelling sailing and water sports instructor- you will have no shortage of conversation on chairlifts. Roberto has been teaching our clients to Ski With Ease since 2018.

Ajda (Aida)

Full-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Ajda took her first steps on the snow on the hill behind her house. With ski slopes right at her doorstep, it was only natural for her to become a ski instructor and race coach.

She competed in ski racing from the age of 6 to 15 with her local ski club and eventually became a coach herself, working with children under 8 years old. In this role, she taught skiing techniques and prepared them for competitions.

Last year, Ajda started learning snowboarding and found it fascinating to experience being a beginner on the snow again and reminded her of what it feels like to be a student!

Janez

Full-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Ski With Ease has great pleasure in welcoming Janez to our team. Born and raised in the mountains, he gained a degree at the National Sports College Ljubljana.

The natural progression of his career was to become a trainer of ski instructors and selection to the Slovenian national demo ski team. From there, he ran a ski school for over 20 years in the Slovenian World Cup resort of Kranjska Gora, teaching all levels from beginner to technical racer.

Jan

Full-Time PDS Ski & Snowboard Instructor

Jan started skiing when he was three years old on the hill behind his family's home. Born in a medieval town just 15 minutes from a ski resort, it was a natural progression for him to become a ski instructor at the age of 17 and progress to the highest level.

Jan's journey is a testament to his adaptability and love for skiing. After working at his local Slovenian ski resort whilst studying law at university, he expanded his experience by working as a ski instructor in Italy, Austria, and Japan, where he also served as an off-piste/powder day ski guide and realised skiing is where his heart is.

Now with 14 years of experience teaching across all ages and ski levels, he has become one of our experts in helping individuals who lack ski confidence and require extra care on the slopes. Jan's excellent English skills, as demonstrated by his role as a tour guide for American visitors to Triglav National Park during the summer, further enhance his ability to connect with his students.

Luka Mag"Knific"ent

Full-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Luka comes from a passionate skiing family, having been taught by his father from the age of three alongside his sister, who is also a Ski With Ease instructor! Both siblings competed at the International Ski Federation (FIS) level before becoming ski instructors.

In addition to his skiing skills, Luka is an experienced national-level Scout leader, where he works with Cubs aged 8 to 10 and teenagers pursuing their national youth certificate- similar to the Duke of Edinburgh award.

With teaching and race training experience in Austria, Italy and Slovenia, Luka has successfully taught learners of all ages and skill levels to ski with more ease and is eager to share his expertise with you here in France!

Tomas grew up in the small alpine town of Bovec, nestled in the valley below Slovenia’s highest ski resort. From an early age, the mountains were his playground—chasing powder days, perfecting tricks on jumps, and soaking up the pure joy of skiing. It was only natural that he turned this passion into a profession. Now an experienced ski instructor, Tomas has spent years sharing his love for skiing across resorts in Slovenia and Austria. Known for his relaxed, encouraging style and infectious enthusiasm, he helps skiers of all levels build confidence, improve technique, and—most importantly—enjoy every turn on the mountain.

Part-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Robert has spent 40 seasons teaching skiers of all ages and abilities to hone their skills and maximise fun. His extensive experience and enthusiasm help you ski with ease. Robert adapts to each learner's style and pace, building confidence in both young skiers and nervous adults.

Loved by our clients, he has been with Ski With Ease for 6 seasons and is the father of team members Luka and Zan. Book in advance if Robert sounds like your perfect match, as his expertise and friendly approach are highly sought after.

Miha (Yeehaa!)

Part-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Miha is great at demystifying technical aspects of skiing movements and building confidence in your ski ability. From beginner to seasoned skier of any age you can be sure your lessons time with him will be valuable, rewarding and addicting!

He especially loves working with kids and showing them the skills to out-ski their folks and dipping into the fun terrain parks to work on balance and reward learning. Skiers of all ages and levels will love his coaching style. When he’s not skiing, he’s a qualified kite-surfer, paraglider, windsurfer and an ex-athlete, running 100metres sub 11secs… so will never be late for a lesson!

He’s been with the team for 8 seasons alongside his sister Teja and has a great client following who can’t wait to book each season.

Part-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Luka, a physiotherapist, knows how to get you moving with ease. A former Junior Alpine racer, he naturally followed his father's path to become a professional ski instructor. With over 10 years of experience teaching all ages and abilities, Luka keeps learning fun. Now joining his dad Robert on the Ski With Ease team, he helps you master essential skiing skills.

Clients love Luka, and he's been with us for 6 seasons. Regular clients and their kids eagerly await his return each season, excited for his engaging and effective lessons. As a dad, he's perfectly switching his teaching style for young beginners to advanced lessons.

Alena

Part-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Alena learned to ski at the age of 2 years old and competed in races from the age of 4!

Ski racing was a big part of her childhood, which is no wonder she raced through her ski instructor exams to the highest level and is now looking to become a trainer of instructors. Most of her career has been spent in the Salzburg region of Austria, and she has been a valuable addition to the Ski With Ease team—an instructor with lots of patience as well as skill for all ages and levels.

Teja (Teya)

Part-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Teja, pronounced Teya, is a passionate winter sports lover with her goal to pass that passion forward. She is a firm believer in fun learning, which is what got her hooked-on skiing at the young age of 3 years old and is loved by our clients.

Teja turned Pro International Ski Instructor over ten years ago proving that starting young is the way to go. Her soft skill coaching quality mixed with a bucket load of patience, enthusiasm and encouragement makes her a perfect instructor for working with kids and nervous skiers. A well rounded and skilled instructor with the ability to easily switch up a gear for a performance and technical session too.

After taking a few seasons off to bring up her young son, she returned last season for peak-weeks only and back season 24/25 part-time throughout the season.

Tommi

Part-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Tommy is a very patient ski professional. He is a great motivator who exudes natural cheeriness as he shares his expert ski knowledge.

He has a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology (the study of body movements) and is a full-time fitness trainer and sports teacher at a school when not on skis. Tommy is able to draw on a mix of teaching styles and techniques gained from two decades of teaching all over Europe, North America, Australia, Japan, and now the Portes du Soleil. It’s his 3rd season working during the peak-week school holidays.

Matt

Part-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Ski instructor and ex racer Matt knows how to get you moving with efficiency and ease on your skis. He has a degree in kinesiology, the science that addresses the physiological and psychological dynamic principles and mechanisms of human body movement.

When he’s not on his skis, he works with professional ski, basketball and tennis teams as a personal trainer and strength-and-conditioning coach. He is an attentive instructor who loves to improve skills, build self-esteem, and empower you to reach your skiing goals. He’s been one of our regular peak-week instructors for many seasons and perfectly adapts to being gentle with our nervous skiers as well as fun and energetic with our private kids' groups, making them fun in the parks and on the jumps.

Mark

Part-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Mark is an all-year-round teacher, ski teaching in the winter, and teaching the guitar when his skis and boots come off!

Mark is English and qualified as a ski instructor over 25 years ago and has spent much of his ski career teaching in the chic and stylish resort of Megeve. Ski With Ease is super pleased to have lured him to the Portes du Soleil to pass on his fun and easy learning style to our guests here. It’s his 3rd season with us.

You will always have plenty to chat about on the chair lifts when not discussing ski technique as he has plenty of stories of his touring and gigging days with various bands to tell.

Oliver

Part-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Oli is a German-Caribbean ski instructor with long hair and a permanent smile! He trained in Austria but has also worked in Canada, Norway, Switzerland, and Italy. He loves the mountains and brings a little of his tropical roots attitude to the slopes, the good vibes, and the good times!

He teaches with a little more of the legendary Austrian skiing technique and loves getting both adults and kids excited about developing their own skiing flair. When he is not skiing, he is working as a master scuba diving instructor or, as a doctor in the UK where he was tackling the pandemic as well as teaching with Ski With Ease last season! He is fun, gentle and a great listener.

Katrin

Part-Time PDS Ski Instructor

After retiring from years of competing at the international skiing FIS race level, Katrin became a qualified ski instructor and race coach. She developed a program to guide young skiers to achieve podium results and fostered a supportive team atmosphere focused on fun and engaging learning.

Katrin is a highly motivated ski teacher and coach with a talent for transferring her skills and knowledge to others.

In spring 2024, Katrin joined our Ski With Ease team and coached from beginner never-ever skiers to those wanting high-level tips and technique sessions.

We are delighted to inform you that she has been invited back for another season due to her outstanding work with our guests.

Stefano

Part-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Stefano has been teaching our clients to Ski With Ease since 2018, and our clients love him.

Skiing and mountain guiding in the winter, and a sailing yacht master skipper in the summer. He studied sports science and physical education at university.

He’s a regional under-16 Race Coach and Euro Test Opener, making him perfect for advanced ski lessons. He has plenty of energy and loves his fresh powder and freestyle/park skiing.

He is a well-rounded instructor for all age groups and abilities.

Zan

Part-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Zan was always going to join the team when his Dad Robert and Brother Luka have been firm favourites with our clients for many seasons now.

It's Zan's 4th season with Ski With Ease and clients of all ages absolutely adore him during the peak-weeks. He teaches all ages from beginner to adults and perfectly adapts his teaching techniques for nervous adults, fun in the jump parks and more challenging Intermediate lessons. He’s also a dad with a young child and perfect for your young beginner skiers to advanced adult lessons.

Matjaz

Part-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Matjaz is a passionate, patient, and professional ski and cross country instructor with many years of teaching experience both with and without skis on.

With skis off, Matjaz works in education with children and adults with developmental and intellectual special needs. With skis on, Matjaz shares a lifetime of top ski tips to turbo boost your skiing skills.

Seeing the leaps in your confidence and ability is the greatest reward for an instructor, he says. I also love introducing people to skiing and wanting you to have the same lifetime of love for the sport as I do.

Uros (Euros)

Part-Time PDS Ski Instructor

While teaching skiing in Australia, Uros's name was often mispronounced as "Euros (€)", leading the kids to affectionately call him Mr. Money.

Uros began skiing at the age of nine, which is considered late for someone from a mountainous country, but he quickly advanced by joining a ski club and racing with friends. He has taught in various locations including Georgia, Australia, Slovenia, Austria, and now France.

During his four seasons with us, Uros has proven to be a relaxed and patient instructor for students of all ages and abilities. He makes his sessions enjoyable and even teaches ski tricks to the kids.

Uros excels in freestyle skiing and has experience with off-piste skiing, creating films, and participating in photo shoots. You can follow him on social media to enjoy great soundtracks, as he holds an audio engineering diploma and plays bass in a rock band..

Petra

Part-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Petra started skiing at a very young age and rapidly moved up to racing at a competitive level. She went on to qualify as a ski instructor through the Italian Ski College, where she works with FIS athlete ski racers.

With a master's degree in sport sciences, she is well qualified to work with skiers and other high-level sports athletes in the role of strength and conditioning coach.

Petra is now in her 10th season of sharing her love for skiing and can't wait to ski with you!

Nico

Part-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Our very own Ski With Ease mountaineer, Nico, has always loved outdoor life. As a child, he skied cross-country or downhill Alpine every weekend. In early adulthood, he joined the Italian Mountain Police, qualifying as a Piste Security and Alpine Rescue Trainer and Mid-Mountain Guide.

His love for exploring took him to the Southern Hemisphere Mountains of New Zealand, where his ski instructor journey began with NZ qualifications. A few years later, he completed the Italian system to Maestro level and the highest level FISI National Alpine Race Coach level, enabling him to work with high-level athletes of the Women's National Fiamme Oro ski team, Masters Circuit athletes, and regional junior race teams.

Nico can help you if you are recovering from injury, as he knows how the body moves and works and is also a qualified osteopath and physiotherapist!

Luka (Ljuk)

Luke started skiing at three years old and developed a deep passion for this sport, competing in junior alpine ski racing at the National champs.

Luke first hit the slopes at just three years old and has loved skiing ever since! After competing in junior alpine races at the national level, he discovered a passion for freeride and for helping others enjoy the mountains as much as he does.

Energetic, patient, and fluent in English, Italian, and Slovenian, he is an excellent communicator, teaching children and adults of all levels.

With his friendly nature and playful approach, he makes every lesson fun, safe, and full of smiles.

Meet Tim from Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, a town renowned for its World Cup ski racing. It’s no surprise that he became a young racer and then went on to become a ski instructor. In addition to his skiing expertise, Tim is a talented athlete who has played professional football in German and Italian leagues.

With his extensive patience and experience, Tim is excited to join our Portes du Soleil team and share his rich and diverse coaching skills to ensure your easy-learning ski sessions are fresh and fun.

Ela

Part-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Ela's family introduced her to skiing when she was just 3 years old. She naturally progressed through her ski club and racing team alongside her friends. However, her real interest lay in teaching and skiing techniques rather than racing itself. At the age of 16, she decided to stop racing and gained valuable experience in ski teaching across Italy, Slovenia, and Austria.

During the summers, she has worked with children in a national sports program that promotes correct movement patterns and fosters a love for sports from an early age.

In addition to her passion for skiing, Ela is an enthusiastic academic. She holds a bachelor's degree in marketing communications and public relations, a master's degree in political communication and journalism, and a second master's degree in cultural studies.

Ljubo is a true year-round coach — tennis in the summer and skiing with us in the winter! With decades of experience, he has worked as head ski teacher and director of leading ski schools in Slovenia.

A long-time member of the Slovenian demo team, Ljubo brings skill, passion, and a wealth of knowledge to every lesson.

Ali

Part-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Ali, raised near a ski resort, naturally became a ski and snowboard instructor. He earned a Sports Science diploma from the University of Ljubljana. After teaching at top resorts in Austria and Italy, he spent 7 years in Germany training the British military in leadership through off-piste skiing and instructor courses.

Ali is also a Swimming Coach, Lifeguard, Mountain Bike Guide, and Paragliding Instructor. It’s his second season with Ski With Ease, and our clients loved him last season and are excited to be back.

Luka 3rd

PDS Ski Instructor Semi-Season

Luka, referred to as the third Luka on the team, is a dedicated ski instructor with years of experience at premier ski resorts in Slovenia, Austria, and Italy. He started skiing at the age of four and has been teaching since 2011.

In addition to his passion for skiing, Luka is a talented musician, working as a drummer, drum teacher, music producer, sound designer, and audio engineer.

Lana

Part-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Lana has been teaching for 5 years in Austria and now joins our team in the Portes du Soleil in France, for 2025/26. In between her time teaching on the slopes, Lana has been busy completing her master's degree in Physical Education. Skiing has been a big part of her family life as her parents put her on skis at three years old; she also enjoys a bit of snowboarding. An experienced teacher, when she is not teaching skiing/snowboarding, she is a swimming and group workout instructor!

Nenad began as a top rollerblade competitor, performing tricks in skate parks before moving to the mountains, where he discovered how easily his freestyle skills transferred to skiing. No rigid drills here. Nenad’s unique background lends him a playful and creative approach to teaching, making learning feel natural and effortless. Whether you’re a first-timer or an expert, Nenad will tailor your lesson to help you gain the confidence to explore more of the mountain, and reach personal goals.

Medin (Teddy)

Part-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Medin (or Teddy) joined our team Full-Time Season 2022/23! He’s studying hard for his Masters Degree and joined us for peak-weeks last season and back again season 24/25. Our clients love him.

Medin has been ski-teaching since he was 16 years old. In the earlier stages, he was a ski racer and then became a ski instructor to transfer his experience and knowledge to others.

With his very communicative and easy-going character he delivers the most enjoyable and stress-free lessons so, you can still proceed to Ski With Ease! He’s worked in many countries including Slovenia, Austria and Italy and worked with every type of skier, from beginners to racers and 3-year-olds to adults.

He likes to spend his free time doing different adrenaline sports such as skateboarding, acrobatics, off-piste ski touring, cliff jumping and more.

Monica

Part-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Monica spent her childhood winters in Les Menuires, France, where her love for skiing began.

She joined her local Slovenian ski club in high school but soon swapped racing gates for teaching turns. Since 2011, she’s taught in top resorts across Slovenia and Austria.

A university business and mindfulness student turned ski pro (and boutique cat hotel manager!), Monica brings fun, warmth, and passion to every lesson — always ready to share her love of the slopes.

Blas

Part-Time PDS Ski Instructor

Before joining Ski With Ease, Blas built his career with one of Slovenia’s leading Alpine ski clubs — renowned for producing champions.

He coached and coordinated the under-8s program, helping young racers develop their skills and a lifelong love of skiing. His role included training instructors, preparing seminars on best teaching practices, setting achievable learning goals, and ensuring children’s needs and interests were balanced with parents’ expectations.

Alongside his work with children, Blas has also taught adults of all levels in both private and group settings. His passion lies in helping every skier progress at their own pace while enjoying the journey. With extensive experience in ski equipment retail, he enjoys sharing gear and setup tips to help skiers feel comfortable and confident on the slopes.
