The client certifies to the best of their knowledge that the participant(s) do not have a medical condition which might make the participant(s) more likely to sustain an injury. Modifications of Service: Modifications can be made more than 30 days before start of services subject to availability of instructors, any additional costs will be disclosed to the customer for consent. Given the organisation and planning required to provide our services, any service modifications within 30 days prior to
start or service will be entirely at our discretion. Pricing may be modified without notice in the event of rate increases imposed by suppliers, or in the event of economic disruption. These price adjustments shall not apply to contracts already signed with the customer.
Insurance: There are some restrictions on insurance, for example pre-existing medical conditions and You should advise the insurance provider of these at the time the policy is taken out. Please note that the travel insurance provided by some credit card providers often only offers the minimum coverage. It is Your responsibility to ensure that the insurance cover You purchase is suitable and adequate for Your particular needs. If You choose to carry out the Activity without adequate insurance cover, we will not be liable for losses howsoever arising, in respect of which insurance cover would otherwise have been available.
Ski With Ease or its Agents/Instructors does not insure its clients, it is a condition of this agreement that you are obliged to insure yourself for third party liability for all events arising from and/or connected with your lessons and we recommend that you arrange an appropriate policy that includes but is not limited to: personal, medical and rescue insurance, via a licensed agent. It is our assumption you will have this when attending lessons. Ski With Ease/Board With Ease and your Instructor will not be liable to ‘front’ or cover any medical, rescue, 3rd party costs or any other costs that may arise through our professional decision to action items listed in section ‘Consent to Medical Treatment’ through failure to be adequately insured on your part. It is important that you read carefully and understand your chosen policy and ensure that it covers all your wants and needs.
As previously mentioned, the Snowsports of Skiing and Snowboarding do entail risks, as a result many insurance policies require you to wear a helmet on the slopes regardless of local legal requirements or risk voiding the policy. Ski With Ease and its agents highly recommends that all participants wear helmets regardless of age, in and out of our lessons.
During the course of lessons Instructors may ski outside the piste markers or enter play parks or zone where they deem it safe to do so and your insurance cover should provide for this. For off-piste specific lessons, avalanche safety packs are required and a comprehensive insurance covering this should be taken.
We recommend adding cancellation cover for Covid-19 and pandemic related events (that are not covered in our Covid-19 section below), in addition to your general travel insurance, that includes lesson and booking fees.
Weather & Snow Conditions/Lift Closure Cover/Snow Insurance: It is important to note that neither Ski With Ease nor its agents shall be held liable for the fact of “too much” or “insufficient” snow or any other inclement weather conditions event / lift closures due to a multitude of events outside of our control that may be experienced during your pre booked lessons with us. In such an event(s) you shall not be entitled to compensation, discount or reimbursement for services paid. If desired, the customer should ensure that their policy includes “snow insurance cover”; “lift closure cover” or takes out additional cover.
Travelling to Other Portes du Soleil Resorts due to Lift Closure or Poor Conditions: Ski With Ease or its agents cannot accept responsibility for snow and weather conditions or lift closures in your resort that may affect your sessions. You may be offered your lessons in another nearby Portes du Soleil resort with superior conditions. The costs of travelling to and from these resorts will need to be paid by each client including lift pass upgrades. The instructor will evaluate and inform you and Ski With Ease whether to travel to other resort(s), should you choose not to do so you will forfeit the fee paid for that session(s). If the instructor makes a decision by reason of safety as to the unsuitability of snow conditions, this is final.
Covid 19 Variants: We have adapted our sales conditions in the event that lessons are cancelled due to circumstances related to COVID-19. These conditions are over and above our standard cancellation policy. You must comply with all current local and national safety protocols. If you are unable to take your lessons for either of the two reasons stated below, you will receive a refund on all unused lessons, less a 20% booking charge:
⦁ If the ski infrastructure is forced to close by administrative order of the French government due to COVID-19 or any other pandemic.
⦁ If you have been unable to travel due to official advice against travel to France from your country of origin or the French government.
In all other circumstances our standard cancellation policy (above) applies, if you cancel your booking / lessons due to any other COVID-19 related event. We would recommend adding cancellation cover to general travel insurance for any Covid-19 related events that are not covered in this section to include lesson and booking fees.
